THE FINALS Update 12.1.0 on October 29, 2026 lowers CB-01 Repeater damage from 88 to 85 and the Pike-556 headshot multiplier from 1.75 to 1.5, and cuts Translocator max range from 70m to 50m. Shotgun pellet hit markers last 0.5s and can be turned off. Mimic Device and Tracking Dart bugs are fixed, and the Revenant Countess store set is available.
At publication: The CB-01 no longer drops a 175 HP Light in two body shots; it takes three. Pike headshots hit less hard, and a Translocator swap now stops at 50m. Hit-marker, Mimic and Tracking Dart fixes are live. The rest of the post is cosmetics, UI and a note that third-party gyro software is unsupported.
Two body shots no longer kill a 175 HP Light. It now takes three. Medium and Heavy body-shot counts stay at three and four.
Exact patch note+
Damage decreased from 88 to 85. Embark says early Season 12 data showed the CB-01 was slightly over-tuned, and this change nudges it down. At 85 damage, two body shots total 170, which is short of a 175 HP Light.

Pike-556
Pike-556 headshot multiplier decreased from 1.75 to 1.5
Headshot multiplier1.75→
1.5
Headshots are less punishing. Body damage is still the 12.0 value of 50, and time to kill stays unpublished because no fire rate was given.
Exact patch note+
Headshot multiplier decreased from 1.75 to 1.5. Embark says the Pike jumped in usage, damage output and kill rate after 12.0, and this headshot adjustment brings that down slightly. The notes do not change body damage or publish a fire rate.

Translocator
Translocator max range decreased from 70m to 50m
Max range70m→
50m
Mark closer exits. A swap that used to reach 70m now fails past 50m.
Exact patch note+
Max range decreased from 70m to 50m. Embark says the Translocator had more impact than expected, that enemies vanishing felt frustrating, and that more changes are still planned later in the season.

Shotgun pellet hit markers
Pellet hit markers shortened to 0.5s, with an on/off setting

On or off
Shotgun hits clutter the screen for half as long, and you can turn the markers off entirely.
Exact patch note+
The duration of shotgun pellet hit markers decreased from 1s to 0.5s. A setting now toggles those markers on or off. Embark says some players found the markers intrusive.

HUD glow
HUD glow can be disabled, and damage flash is quieter
Turn HUD glow off if it is in the way. Getting shot should flash the screen less.
Exact patch note+
Added a setting under Interface to disable the HUD glow. Reduced color and distortion when taking damage, and fixed a yellow on-screen artifact that could appear on hit. The October 21 hotfix had listed the glow control as still in progress.

Some easy Sponsor Challenges take longer. Embark did not list which ones or the new targets.
Exact patch note+
Adjusted the difficulty of a small number of Sponsor Challenges that were a little too easy to complete. No challenge names or new target numbers were published.

Gyro controls
Third-party gyro software is not supported
Use the in-game gyro option. Third-party gyro tools can get the account banned, and a wider native setup is not dated yet.
Exact patch note+
Embark says third-party gyro software is not officially supported, and setups that map gyro to mouse or keyboard can be indistinguishable from cheating and risk an anti-cheat ban. Native gyro currently covers DualSense controllers. Broader native support is in progress, with no release date.

Mimic Device
Disguise no longer leaks a shadow, collision or extra dash speed
These are reliability fixes, not a damage or duration change. A disguise is harder to spot by shadow, and it should no longer block movement after you die.
Exact patch note+
Fixed a double shadow (prop plus contestant) that revealed the user. Fixed an invisible contestant-shaped collision left behind after an explosive elimination. Fixed dash momentum carrying over while disguised. Fixed disguised players passing through Cashout Stations and Grand Vaults.
