Best THE FINALS Gadgets: Season 11 Tier List

The best gadgets in THE FINALS Season 11 are H+ Infuser (Light), Defibrillator (Medium), Dome Shield (Heavy), and Frag Grenade (Shared), the top pick in each class by community and pro-scene consensus. The meta-core gadgets that show up in build after build are H+ Infuser, Gateway, Glitch Grenade, Vanishing Bomb, Defibrillator, Jump Pad, Dome Shield, and RPG-7. Tiers below are current as of Patch 11.4.1. For ability rankings see the specializations tier list; for full builds see the meta loadouts.

Light Gadgets 150 HP

H+ InfuserS

H+ Infuser

Light

Rapid-fire healing device. Restores teammate health on hit and regenerates ammunition over time

Pillar gadget for competitive Light. Burst healing turns Light into a viable third-slot support in H/M/L comps rather than a pure solo duelist, though S10.3.0 slowed ammo regeneration from 8s to 10s.

Pairs with
Evasive Dash, XP-54, V9S
Pro tip
Requires precision aim. It cannot self-heal, so use it to stabilize teammates during short fighting windows.
Skill
High floor · Very High ceiling
GatewayS

Gateway

Light

A pair of deployable gateway entrances; when both are placed and activated, contestants and objects can move between the two locations

In all 3 top Light builds per thefinals.gg/meta despite the S9 range nerf (70→50m). Doubles as flank route and escape hatch — the reason Dash Light can duel from impossible angles and get out alive. S11 note: Data Reshaper can now reshape a Gateway to instantly disable it, so a Medium can deny the portal — place it with less certainty of a free escape.

Pairs with
Evasive Dash, M11, Grappling Hook
Pro tip
S9 range nerf (70m→50m) requires more strategic placement. S11: a Medium can now kill your portal with Data Reshaper — do not rely on it as a guaranteed escape hatch.
Skill
Medium floor · Very High ceiling
Glitch GrenadeS

Glitch Grenade

Light

Thrown projectile that disables specializations and gadgets, glitches contestant's screens, and disables powered objects in the affected area

Mandatory Light tech - shuts down Mesh Shield, Winch Claw, Healing Emitter, APS Turret on demand. Research: 'the one thing every serious Light should run.' S9 nerfed to 1 charge, 9.7.0 restored to 2 but bumped cooldown 12→25s.

Pairs with
Evasive Dash, XP-54, V9S
Pro tip
9.7.0 restored 2 charges but cooldown jumped 12→25s. Use carefully, both charges are precious
Skill
Low floor · Medium ceiling
Vanishing BombS

Vanishing Bomb

Light

Thrown projectile that cloaks your teammates for a short duration when detonated

Update 10.9.0 pushed cooldown from 22s to 25s after Embark said Vanishing Bomb still had very high usage. Early community reaction was that the uptime nerf is fair but won't remove it from coordinated Light pushes because it still helps teams cross long sightlines.

Pairs with
Evasive Dash, Gateway, M11
Pro tip
With the cooldown now at 25 seconds, treat Vanishing Bomb as planned team-entry utility with Gateway or Jump Pad rather than a free panic reset. If you need more frequent solo stealth, Cloaking Device gains relative value.
Skill
Low floor · High ceiling
Sonar GrenadeA

Sonar Grenade

Light

Thrown projectile that emits several pulses, tracking affected contestants through walls

S10 cooldown reduced 40→34s. Good counter to rising cloak usage

Pairs with
All specializations
Pro tip
S10: 6 seconds faster cooldown, consider running over Glitch Grenade if seeing more cloaks
Skill
Low floor · Medium ceiling
Breach ChargeB

Breach Charge

Light

Highly destructive deployable explosive that can be remotely detonated

Budget RPG for floor deletion. S11 cut the arm time from 1.5s to 1.0s when deployed on a surface, making surprise floor drops snappier. The arm time stays 1.5s when stuck to a carriable — an anti-nuke safeguard so you cannot instant-detonate a Cashout Station.

Pairs with
Grappling Hook, 93R, ARN-220
Pro tip
S11: 1.0s arm time when deployed (down from 1.5s) — faster surprise floor drops and remote objective plays. Arm time remains 1.5s on carriables so you cannot instant-nuke a Cashout.
Skill
Low floor · Medium ceiling
Thermal BoreB

Thermal Bore

Light

Launches a long-range projectile that burrows into structures and uses thermite to collapse them from within, opening up new sightlines

S10 cooldown reduced 35→25s. 10 second reduction is significant for a niche gadget

Pairs with
Gateway, H+ Infuser, Glitch Grenade
Pro tip
S10: Cooldown 35→25s, more usable now
Skill
Medium floor · High ceiling
Gravity VortexC

Gravity Vortex

Light

A remote-triggered device that creates a gravity vortex, pulling in objects and slowing contestants.

Niche crowd-control gadget for Light. It can lock down a cashout lane or trap clustered enemies, but it competes with stronger Light utility like Gateway, Glitch Grenade, Vanishing Bomb, and H+ Infuser.

Pairs with
Cloaking Device, Breach Charge, Frag Grenade
Pro tip
Place it near objectives or high-traffic routes, then activate when enemies commit to the space.
Skill
Medium floor · High ceiling
Tracking DartC

Tracking Dart

Light

Fires a projectile that tracks hit opponents through walls

GPS tracker - only useful if your team has comms

Pairs with
SR-84, LH1
Pro tip
Tags enemy for 20s, visible to whole team
Skill
Low floor · Low ceiling
NullifierC

Nullifier

Light

Disables item use and interactions. Affected target cannot take or deal damage during effect

The reworked Stun Gun is now the Nullifier. It is a niche Light disruption pick that can interrupt steals, revives, and aggressive ability timing, but most meta Light builds still prefer Glitch Grenade, Gateway, Vanishing Bomb, or H+ Infuser.

Pairs with
Cloaking Device, Sword, Dagger, Throwing Knives
Pro tip
Use it as an ambush interrupt, not a default Light slot. If the player wants pure ranked value, suggest Glitch Grenade or Sonar Grenade instead.
Skill
Medium floor · High ceiling
Thermal VisionF

Thermal Vision

Light

Reveals heat signatures

DISABLED since S8 due to persistent bugs. Will be reworked in future seasons

Pairs with
Smoke Grenade, M11
Pro tip
Toggle on/off quickly to avoid tunnel vision
Skill
Low floor · Low ceiling

Medium Gadgets 250 HP

DefibrillatorS

Defibrillator

Medium

When charged, can be used on fallen teammates' statues to revive them instantly

Instant clutch button - why M/M/M teams are unkillable

Pairs with
Healing Beam, Jump Pad, APS Turret
Pro tip
Most powerful gadget in game - instant mid-fight revives
Skill
Low floor · High ceiling
Jump PadS

Jump Pad

Medium

Trampoline-like deployable; allows for high jumps

Mobility for the whole family - vertical supremacy

Pairs with
Healing Beam, AKM, CB-01
Pro tip
Essential for both offensive flanks and defensive repos
Skill
Low floor · High ceiling
Data ReshaperA

Data Reshaper

Medium

A tool that changes certain carriable and deployable objects in the arena into something else you can use

Ongoing hard counter to stall setups: reshapes objects THROUGH Dome Shield and Mesh Shield, defusing C4/mine holds. S11 adds a new trick — it can now reshape a Gateway to instantly disable it, giving Medium a clean answer to the S-tier Light Gateway.

Pairs with
Defibrillator, Jump Pad, FCAR
Pro tip
S11: also disables Gateways instantly — deny a Light team its flank route and escape portal. Still goes through shields, so reshape Dome Shields and mines from outside the bubble.
Skill
High floor · Very High ceiling
Explosive MineA

Explosive Mine

Medium

Explodes when triggered

150+ damage one-shots Light class, effective passive objective defense

Pairs with
Guardian Turret, Model 1887
Pro tip
Hide in bushes or around corners, 125 damage
Skill
Low floor · Medium ceiling
APS TurretB

APS Turret

Medium

Deployable that shoots down and destroys enemy projectiles

S11 buffed it — now blocks 6 projectiles (was 5) and has 175 HP (was 160) — but the cooldown no longer regenerates while it is deployed, and retrieval carries its own cooldown (5s manual pickup, 15s remote via tablet, 30s if destroyed). Still essential vs explosive Heavy, but the new cooldown system limits spamming a fresh turret every fight.

Pairs with
Guardian Turret, Healing Beam, Defibrillator
Pro tip
Retrieve it manually (5s cooldown) instead of leaving it to die (30s) — the cooldown no longer ticks while it is out. It now blocks 6 projectiles and has 175 HP, so it holds a touch longer vs double-RPG Heavy.
Skill
Low floor · Medium ceiling
ZiplineB

Zipline

Medium

Fires at a targeted surface and anchors a rope that can be used to traverse arenas easily

DIY transportation - for when stairs are too mainstream

Pairs with
Guardian Turret, Pike-556
Pro tip
Create unexpected angles, but you're vulnerable while riding
Skill
Low floor · High ceiling
Breach DrillC

Breach Drill

Medium

Deployable that drills through surfaces and flashes the other side before detonating.

Update 10.9.0 cut cooldown from 20s to 15s to raise uptime, but early player reaction still treats Breach Drill as niche utility that needs follow-up and cleaner placement to become a real ranked staple.

Pairs with
Dematerializer, FCAR, CB-01
Pro tip
The 15-second cooldown makes repeat breaches less punishing, but the gadget is still best when your team is already ready to swing the new angle or punish the flash immediately.
Skill
Medium floor · High ceiling
Gas MineC

Gas Mine

Medium

Emits toxic gas when triggered; contestants take damage while exposed to toxic gas

Fart trap - when you want an area to smell like death

Pairs with
Pyro Grenade, Healing Beam
Pro tip
Gas + Fire = Big damage, use for area denial
Skill
Low floor · Low ceiling
Hover PadC

Hover Pad

Medium

A deployable platform that hovers in midair, creating a temporary elevated surface.

11.0.0 raised its health from 350 to 425, so it survives poke and pressure notably better. Still a niche Medium gadget overall, but it unlocks real off-angle and Aerialist routing value with Shockwave.

Pairs with
Shockwave, Jump Pad, FCAR, Chimera XB
Pro tip
Best as a reusable off-angle platform or Shockwave extender, not a default utility slot. Place it above you like a vertical shield vs snipers while stealing, and retrieve it instead of letting the charge sit dead.
Skill
Low floor · High ceiling
Glitch TrapD

Glitch Trap

Medium

Deployable that sticks to a surface; when triggered, it disables specializations and gadgets and glitches screens

Lag switch landmine - gives enemies fake ping spikes

Pairs with
Data Reshaper, Explosive Mine
Pro tip
Place on stairs or doorways for maximum confusion
Skill
Low floor · Low ceiling

Heavy Gadgets 350 HP

Dome ShieldS

Dome Shield

Heavy

Projects a semi-transparent bubble that provides 360-degree protection for a short time

Still strong but S10 Data Reshaper goes through it now. May see goo grenade replacing dome if reshaper becomes too common

Pairs with
Mesh Shield, SA1216, RPG-7
Pro tip
9.7.0 nerfed from 300→250 HP. Blocks Winch Claw since S9. Still must-have for HHM
Skill
Low floor · Medium ceiling
RPG-7S

RPG-7

Heavy

Fires long-range, high-explosive missiles that detonate on impact

The equalizer - buffed damage (100→110), core to HHM double RPG meta

Pairs with
C4, Charge N Slam, Dome Shield
Pro tip
S9 buff (100→110 damage), double RPG + double Dome is HHM standard
Skill
Low floor · Medium ceiling
Healing EmitterA

Healing Emitter

Heavy

Deployable that heals you and nearby teammates. Can be picked up, carried and thrown.

Strong sustain gadget for slower Heavy defenses. 10.3.0 made it easier to toss into fights by allowing mid-air deployment and shrinking the model, but it still usually competes with the C4/Dome/RPG core instead of replacing it.

Pairs with
Mesh Shield, M60, Dome Shield
Pro tip
Throw it into cover before the fight starts or drop it from height now that 10.3.0 allows mid-air deployment. Best when your team can actually play around its radius.
Skill
Low floor · Medium ceiling
BarricadeA

Barricade

Heavy

Highly durable shields that are perfect for fortifying an area

The wall - instant cover for tactical turtles

Pairs with
Mesh Shield, Lewis Gun
Pro tip
Angle it to cover multiple threats, 1000 HP
Skill
Low floor · Medium ceiling
C4B

C4

Heavy

Highly destructive deployable explosive that can be remotely detonated

11.3.0 raised the cooldown from 30s to 45s, cutting C4 uptime by a third. Still the surprise burst-damage brick for Cashout fights, but you get fewer throws per engagement.

Pairs with
Winch Claw, RPG-7
Pro tip
Stick to cashouts or ceilings for devastating drops, only 1 charge
Skill
Low floor · High ceiling
Explosive MineB

Explosive Mine

Heavy

Explodes when triggered

The landmine - Light class deletion device

Pairs with
Barricade, KS-23
Pro tip
Place on objectives or choke points, 125 damage
Skill
Low floor · Medium ceiling
LockboltB

Lockbolt

Heavy

A rocket-propelled Lockbolt device that chains nearby opponents and objectives to its general location.

S10 cooldown reduced 40→30s but lock duration 8→7s. Could counter new Medium Shockwave spec

Pairs with
Mesh Shield, SA1216, Dome Shield
Pro tip
S10: Faster cooldown but shorter lock. May help vs Shockwave-spamming Mediums
Skill
Medium floor · High ceiling
Anti-Gravity CubeC

Anti-Gravity Cube

Heavy

Deployable that manipulates gravity in its immediate area, lifting contestants and objects upwards

The floaty boi - buffed cooldown (35s→28s) but still niche

Pairs with
Charge N Slam, Spear
Pro tip
S9 cooldown buff (35s→28s), situational for objective disruption
Skill
Low floor · High ceiling
Pyro MineC

Pyro Mine

Heavy

Explodes when triggered, setting fire to the immediate area; contestants in an area that is burning will take damage

Napalm surprise - S9 nerfed explosive damage 80→55 to differentiate from Explosive Mine

Pairs with
Gas Grenade, Flamethrower
Pro tip
Hide near gas for explosive combos
Skill
Low floor · Low ceiling

Pro tip
Blocks all vision including thermal - use for revives
