Compact ReflectorPlayers favor a clean dot over the default irons; still preference-driven.
Every weapon optic in THE FINALS: all 12 sights by magnification, which sights each weapon can equip, the community-preferred pick, and the weapons that can't change their sight at all. Compatibility is verified against the wiki.
THE FINALS lets you change the optic on most weapons from the weapon customization menu (unlocked with VRs). It is sights-only, with no full attachment or gunsmith system. There are 12 sights across three magnification tiers (1.5x, 2x, 2.25x). Sight choice is mostly personal preference, so there is no rigid meta; the most-recommended all-around optic is the Compact Reflector (the community "red dot"). 17 weapons cannot change their sight at all. For weapon rankings see the weapon tier list; for raw damage see the TTK chart.
Sight choice in THE FINALS is largely personal preference; there is no rigid per-weapon meta. Compatibility below is wiki-verified. Recommendations reflect a common community preference only where a real signal exists, and are tagged with a confidence level; many weapons have no clear best sight.

Shotgun: sight choice is cosmetic and rarely used (hip-fire dominates).
Strong pistol signal: a red dot is widely called a big upgrade over the irons.
A clean dot is generally preferred; little weapon-specific debate.

Compact Reflector is commonly listed for minimal visual movement; some prefer Adder Reflex. Split.
A controlled community test crowned the classic red dot (Compact Reflector) fastest; Holographic is the well-known split for faster target acquisition.
