THE FINALS Update 12.2.0 on November 5, 2026 raises the AKM magazine to 36 rounds and buffs Chimera-XB damage and fire rate. The FCAR hits harder but fires more slowly and drops to a 20-round magazine. The store refresh adds two cosmetic sets, and Embark announced a Grand Major cosplay showcase.
At publication: The AKM gains two rounds before a reload. The Chimera-XB fires faster and hits harder. The FCAR trades cadence and magazine capacity for 25 damage per shot. Embark deployed these balance changes server-side and plans a separate follow-up pass in 12.3.
WHAT CHANGED
What got stronger
AKM magazine increased from 34 to 36 rounds
You can fire two more rounds before reloading.
Embark added two rounds to the AKM magazine as part of a Medium balance pass.
Chimera-XB damage and fire rate increased
Follow-up shots come sooner. Four body shots still cover a 175 HP Light at full damage.
Damage rose from 47 to 48 per shot and fire rate rose from 260 to 280 RPM.
What plays differently
FCAR gains damage and loses fire rate and magazine capacity
At full damage, a 175 HP Light takes seven body shots, down from eight. Reload sooner if you miss.
Damage rose from 23 to 25 per shot, fire rate fell from 530 to 500 RPM and magazine size fell from 25 to 20.
What feels better to use
Goat Expectations and Dual Shockers sets added
Use remaining Halloween tickets before the event closes. Check the in-game event timer for the cutoff.
The refreshed store includes the Goat Expectations and Dual Shockers cosmetic sets. Embark also said a few days remained to redeem Frights Galore tickets at publication.
